    Preller commits to NDSU

Woodbury senior Liz Preller, a 5-10 three-sport athlete, has committed to play basketball at North Dakota State University. Her father Dave, is head girls' basketball coach at Woodbury and led the Royals to their first state title last season in Class 4A.

Liz Preller, however, attended Hudson High School until transferring to Woodbury for her senior year. At Hudson, she was an all-conference pick in basketball and volleyball. Hudson won the Division I state girls' basketball title in Wisconsin when Preller was a sophomore and reached the state semifinals last season when she was one of the team captains.

    Another Bue for the Bison.

Sports Forum: Bison land another Bue for women’s basketball

When Austin High (Minn.) senior guard Lisa Bue took a recruiting visit to North Dakota State last month, she focused on only one thing: academics.

She knew about everything else. The younger sister of former standout Beth Bue has verbally committed to the Bison. “Beth had a great experience and everybody just seems to like it there,” she said.

The Bison also received a commitment from Liz Preller, a 5-foot-10 forward from Woodbury, Minn. Preller helped Hudson High to a Wisconsin state championship two years ago and a semifinal berth last season. She transferred to Woodbury this year, where her father, Dave Preller, is the Woodbury head coach.

Lisa Bue will be the third family member to attend NDSU. Her sister, Emily Bue, is a sophomore but does not play basketball.

Bue averaged 16.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.4 assists last year. She led the team in virtually every statistical category.
