Because she was released from her scholarship at Colorado St. she can play right away - DI or dii.

Releasing her from her scholarship just means she's allowed to transfer to another school and take a scholarship there to play.


SHe still has to sit out a full 2 winter terms if she transfers to another D1 school.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty positive that she would have to sit at another D1 school.

Silk, you are correct....if Samuelson goes to a Dvision I shcool, she must sit out a full year.

She had her scholarship pulled by the school (along with 3 other players). This means she is eligible next season, even at another DI school.

Hallstrom says that since the agreement wasn't renewed, she would be eligible right away.

Colorado State is undergoing an equivalent upheaval as the Gophers. 1st year Coach Jen Warden has had 3 players quit in addition to the 4 whose contract was not renewed. one of the players, Casie Shepherd, is a post player from Prior Lake, but she is expected just to stay in Fort COllins and not play.
