I thought some of you that hunt might enjoy a couple pictures from my elk hunt in October......Why is there no picture of a dead elk you ask.....(Wyo turn red)......well, I passed up the one I should have shot on day 2 of our trip in the hopes of something bigger...... :-[

It was a great trip into the always beautiful mountains of Wyoming! *....And yes....that is WYOBISONMAN on horseback in those pictures....

You are close....it is on the other side of the divide from the Wind River. That photo is looking down the South Buffalo Fork at Mount Moran in the Tetons.

It was fantastic....What I like about horse and mule packing is that you can camp in style.....even in a wilderness area. We saw a ton of elk, but I was a little too chosey so I didn't shoot one. I was waiting for a Boone and Crocket type. We pitched camp with 2 sleeping tents and a cook tent. Had wood stoves in all of them so we wouldn't get cold. We also packed in 2 mules loaded with beer to help keep us properly hydrated.... ;D

Great pictures Wyo, you live in God's country.

I just got back from Elk hunting too. Not as scenic as the great divide.

I usually head to the place where the Minnesota River and Mississippi River connect. Sometimes over by the Indian Mounds park.
