I figured that Salt Lake was where the Delta flights would be headed following the teaser on Friday.

That will make it easier to get to the Southern Utah football game this fall for fans in the Fargo area. Just grab a car and drive south about 240 miles.

And Weber State/Idaho State when NDSU gets in the Big Sky.

This could help our case for getting into the Sky since the travel becomes less of a factor.

Now we need flights to Portland and Sacramento!

This makes the Big Sky connections much easier. People in the west are used to flying Delta.

Direct flights are never going to happen with those cities but its easy to get to either from Fargo, with a connection through Minneapolis on Northwest, through Denver on United, or now through Salt Lake City on Delta.

Exactly. If anything, United, Allegiant and Delta will expand their trips to Denver, SLC and Las Vegas to accomodate any increase in demand.

They have added the same Delta flights from Sioux Falls to Salt Lake City. This would allow Big Sky team to fly into Fargo and out of Sioux Falls or vise versa if teams are playing both SDSU and NDSU. Delta also flys to Cincinnatti out of Sioux Falls.

Northwest also has a direct flight to Las Vegas from Hector, so there's nearly a daily flight to Las Vegas (neither Allegiant nor NW flies to Vegas on tuesdays).
