Dinner doesn't quite go smoothly when the police and emts are putting the back and neck brace on the idiot on the floor. Safe to say I wasn't impressed. Btw, the food was simply ok. Nothing bad, nothing real good. Service sucked.
I just assumed that place was going to suck because 1) It is JT Cigarros and 2) I saw a menu posted on their Facebook page when they first opened and it was so full of misspellings and lame descriptions of their supposed 'upscale yet accessible' food I laughed while reading through it.

When I read the first couple articles about the sale of that place and the restaurant opening I gave it about 6 months before they just open up the restaurant for more bar room.

I have not been to Sickies, mostly because I am never anywhere near that part of town. I have wanted to try it and will go at some point. The reason I like JL Beers is it is one of the few places in Fargo that I don't feel like I am in yet another Fargo bar or restaurant, it reminds me of Brooklyn.

I get that feeling especially at the downtown location. The price is right for their food as well. Sickies must have opened after i left FM because i have never heard of it.

Yeah I was definitely talking about the downtown location, the other locations just fine but I prefer downtown.

I like JL also but Sickies is better, plus it's a gear head type place it's nothing typical to Fargo either. give them a shot you will enjoy. it's a great change of pace from JL just because the many different oddball burgers they offer that are really good. I highly recommend the Benedict or Cuban burgers

Ill maybe eat at JL beers once a year. id go back to sickies first. I hate the stupid "cute" 49 total people can eat here. i aint waiting 20 minutes so 4 people can open up room at the bar because theyre finally done.

Opposite for me, jl beers is that much better imho. The wait however is a pain in the arse, no doubt
