    Default Tailgating grills?

OK, I’m looking around for a good grill for tailgating this fall and I thought who better to ask than those I will be tailgating with in the west lot. What I’ve found so far to my liking is the Weber Q 300 because it uses a 20lb propane tank and looks like it would be easy to transport/clean and it’s big enough to have multiple things going at once. Ideas are welcome, thanks.

Only you can decide what grill is best for you .

    -Cost
    -Capacity
    -Ease to transport

Pick two and go from there.

Are you going to be the only one grilling in your group?

How many will you be cooking for in your group?

How much time do you want to devote standing next to the grill?

I started out with a three burner gas grill and a 22.5" Weber kettle if we would have chicken. I then pared down the Weber, and then moved on to one of these- Holland Companion with a 20 lb. tank.

I'm much happier just using the small Holland now. I changed my food prep so I don't need to spend nearly as much time grilling. This gives me much more time to drink and socialize. Throw in the fact that our tailgating group has grown to have five or six other people that bring grills, and the perfect grill for myself has definitley evolved.

We have a Thermos Grill 2 Go and it easily adapted to use a 20lb tank. Just get an adapter like the one below and almost any small cooking unit designed for the small bottles can be used with a 20lb tank.
