Remember way back when.....we had a Pep Band called the "Home Court Advantage". We need that back in a big way. The Home Court Advantage was a huge part of generating the atmosphere at Bison Basketball games during Erv's tenure.......

We need every aspect of home games in the 80's back in a big way. Especially the 5,500 average attendances...

We have to keep in mind that those 5500 averages were estimated numbers by Tim Bourdon - the same guy that one day said that there were 19000 people at Dacotah Field.

But....Bourdon or not.......the atmosphere in the 80's was electrifying and we need that again. With Woodside and Co. playing for the Bison, the caliber of ball being played at the Bison Sports Arena is as good as ever. The competition is as good as it has ever been. Now the "show" has to be created to get folks to the games and super charge the atmosphere. Erv was a master of this.....

Thats right....Woodside is turning into the Askew of this era.....
By the way......what ever happened to Askew??
I believe Askew is still around the Fargo area.

Askew had another Milwaukee product follow him to NDSU. Blaine Hampton was a 6'2" leaper, he could change a dollar on top of the backboard. He would go up against the trees under the basket and pull rebounds down with one hand. Too bad he didn't make it back for his Soph season.
