Proposed DI postseason Bylaw

Check out the bylaw proposed by the Big West- LINK Proposed Bylaw 2003-13

If I read it correctly, the postseason ineligibility would be reduced to 2 years for all sports except BB, and eight years for BB. This would be great if it passes. Eight years for BB is still long, but a lot better than 13!! ;D ;D

Does anyone know the current status for the post-season wait period. I had heard it was going from 13 years to 8, and there was talk they may reduce it further. Has this been voted on and if not when? How about football in 1AA. How long will we have to wait to be eligible. I will take the playoffs that 1AA has for football over the greed of the BCS anyday. At least a true undisputed champion is crowned rather than be annoited by a computer or polls.
