Everyone loves a good rivalry. It is one of the hallmarks of college sports. I believe folks in North Dakota are tired of not seeing the Battle for the Nickel Trophy every fall. It has been over two years since the D-II University of North Dakota and now D-I North Dakota State last met on the gridiron and the two most likely will not meet again this year. The time seems right for UND to finally join their rival in the Division I ranks for all sports. ...

Never mind the Sioux. When SDSU and ourselves made the decision to move up, weren't the Coyotes rather hesitant to make the same move due to financial concerns? Is the $$$$$$$ picture a little brighter for them now?

If the Big Sky is looking to have a twelve team league; does anyone think und's indecision hurts us? Adding us and sdsu would make it eleven with one more school needed. I hate to say it but do you think the Big Sky is waiting to see what und will do before talking about expansion again. although, even it they decided today to move up today, they would still be 5 years from playoff eligibility. I think the fact that in '07 sdsu and us can make the playoffs, I doubt the Big Sky has that kind of patience. und may be a day late and a dollar short. (Quick, someone up north channel the spirit of 'ol Ralph).
