Needs for next season

Here is what I think would be a perfect fit for the BiZon @ 133. Sean Spidle of Central Michigan will be a Sr next year. He’s a 1x NQ and Round of 16 participant this past season. This would allow all the incoming recruits to RS and learn from a seasoned veteran while not upsetting the apple cart with them by bringing in a younger transfer. Now, Im Guessing he’s going to be looking for a lower tier Big 10 team but if that doesn’t work out he can come here and wrestle in the second strongest wrestling conference. I’m sure Obe and staff will be leveraging what they did getting a below .500 wrestler like Daugherty to the National Tournament.

Blake Boarman of Chattanooga might be another option for the BiZon at 133. He was a NQ this past season with a 20-8 record. Lost two close matches in Philadelphia on of which was an OT loss in round one to AA Tyler Knox. He also lost a close match to Kyle Burwick earlier this season. Hes a seasoned veteran that has one year remaining and would allow the incoming kids to RS next season.

Minnesota's Tyler Wells is in the portal. Most say he wants to go 141 next year, but he's very talented.

Very, very poor B1G tournament for him on and off the mat, but rebounded to go 2-2 at NCAAs after being one win away from AAing as a true Freshman.

He is exactly the type of guy we should hope for IMO. Pretty local, proven track record, AA potential, multiple years of competition remaining.

I'd be very surprised if we got him, but a guy can dream.

Remember he was originally committed to D2 St. Cloud State before flipping to the Gophers. It almost seems like he isn’t interested in red shirting and wants to finish in four years. Definitely would be a nice get and I’m GOING TO HOPE LIKE HELL HE WOULD COME HERE.
