Alabama up 42-29 at halftime over 7 seed St Mary’s (29-5)
This Lady Vols team is wild. Press the entire game. Roll at least 10 deep. Full on line changes every couple of minutes.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
Colorado State almost got Maryland. That was a great finish.

So far only 4 non top-4 seeds in the Sweet 16. And 3 of them are 5-6. All are P6 teams. It's only one year, but I'm wondering if this will be the new normal with the transfers and NIL. The mid-majors that made a run were often full of seniors who had played a lot of games. Those kids will now likely have transferred to a P6 school.
If you are annoyed by all the transfers, you may want to cheer for Purdue. I believe their entire roster has only played for Purdue, and 11 are from Indiana. Two others are from Cincinnati and Chicago which both border Indiana. Myles Colvin is the son of former Bear and Patriot player, Roosevelt Colvin. Coach Painter also played HS ball in Indiana and for Purdue in the early 90s.
Not sure about #1, but #2 needs to be adopted universally immediately.
Another thing that needs to be changed is the 10 second rule to get the ball across halfcourt: the only thing that resets the 10 seconds you have is a defensive foul. If you call a timeout after 8 seconds, you have only 2 more seconds to get the ball over half court.

Another change needed is to eliminate the jump ball to begin the game; flip a coin prior to the game at the captains' meeting to see who gets the ball first and establish the alternating possession and be done with it; it would eliminate about 3 pages from the Case book.(NFHS) Jump balls are a worthless practice that adds nothing to the game.
