NDSU's philosophy has always been to get the most athletic players on to the field. With losing some of these athletic players to the portal so easily, does anyone see some of the remaining great athletes playing both sides of the ball?

I think that's dangerous. If that player goes down you are relying on 2 inexperienced replacements. I don't see it working for the developmental programs like FCS.

I'll continue to watch and cheer on the team whoever's on it but I am no longer giving the money I used to, it really sucks watching these guys that you've invested in leave the program. College sports is gonna die a slow death if it continues like this.

I don't remember seeing it posted here, but TE Nate Forystek entered the portal last week, according to Bison Report.

Huisman's departure sucks and leaves that position group really thin.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

I'm going to guess Huisman goes to Washington St...

Makes sense, I checked Iowa, Iowa State & da Gophers late last night and did not find any solid leads

The effect of this is to make one dislike the power programs even more. I wish them all perpetual pain and misery, to go along with their ridiculous amounts of cash
If I am not mistaken, I heard it's very likely that anyone on roster now will be grandfathered in and it'll be a couple years of tapering to get down to 105 to ensure no kids are victims of the new cut number.

Not so sure it will be a slow death; I think it's death will come quicker than we all think....... unless someone or something steps up to save this ship.

I don't know why the portal would be deeper in any meaningful sense. They are going to be losing low end walk-ons for the most part, no?
