    Default 2024-2025 Season

    https://thesummitleague.org/news/202...wbb-crown.aspx

The Bison are picked to finish 3rd in the Summit League in the Preseason Poll.
No Bison were named to the Preseason Summit League 1st or 2nd All Conference Team.

I was a little surprised the Bison were only picked 3rd. The Bison have a bunch of returning talent.

Somehow Oral Roberts was picked 2nd. I think the Bison beat them pretty handily every time they played last year.

    Go Bison!

    Go Bison!
With Heaven graduating and Elle leaving I think they do have to prove some things, but I also believe they will and will be right in the hunt for #1 by year's end.

Yeah, replacing both of those players in one season will be tough. I think we brought in a VERY talented recruiting class, but they are young and unproven, so it'll take a little time. If we can get a few of them to progress like Koenen did from beginning to end of season last year, we'll be right there battling at the top of the league again by the end of the year. I think Koenen will make at least 2nd team all Summit, surprised Shulte wasn't a preseason pick as well. Going to be an interesting year but excited to watch this team go.

Went to the Bison fan event last night and a couple of quick notes:

Avery Koenen dressed but did not participate in anything, she looked to be okay so hoping it's just a minor injury and she won't miss any actual game time
Molly Lenz looks like a great get in the portal, she's athletic, can get to the rim and can shoot off the dribble, also shot fairly well from deep. I don't think she's quite on Heaven's level yet, but she should help soften the blow of Heaven graduating a bit.
Amelia Hobson looks like the real deal, she's pretty thin so hopefully can add a little muscle in the weight room as she grows in the program to help durability and strength wise, but she is very skilled, and I think will be involved quite a bit as a freshman.
Sacia Vanderpool is huge, I remembered reading that she's 6'5" but she dwarfs Abbie Draper, she'll bring some depth to that 5 spot and help out in some of those matchups we struggled with last year where we were a little undersized in the post.

Stern and Frost both look like they have bright futures but will likely not see much court time this year and in my opinion would be best served redshirting. Definitely have some talent to build on.

North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

Monster 3rd quarter by the women. The scores table has been looking into a score discrepancy for the past 5+ minutes. Waiting for the 4th quarter to start.
Mountain West, hope for the best.
