I actually had lunch with Lakes yesterday. Not the typical Bison talk for an hour. He has toned the Bison chatter way down. He has a new job so I think he actually is working a bit more. Plus three kids under 10 starting to get busy with activities. So that takes away from his posting time.
Also on his Facebook page he controls. Bisonation ND he doesn't post much.
Could it be he is "maturing". Time will tell on that one.
Don't get me wrong. There is still a lot of "stupid" with Lakes in the 50 minutes I spent with him. An example of the change in the discussion. Instead of the whole lunch discussing his "EPIC" travels to Boulder very little time was spent on his Boulder NDSU experience. We actually discussed quite a bit whether his oldest should be playing tackle football versus a group of parents wanting them to play flag football. Son is 4th grade. He even coached summer little league and claims he was invited back to coach.
All things we would never consider from Lakes a year or two ago.
Instead of banning him for Violation #1, fine him for each occurrence. If he goes off on an a FBS tirade then ban him until he post proof of $100 donation to Team Makers. Also, you have to give him some wiggle room. Allow him to make a "Lakes, FBS thread" and require all his FBS tirades to go into that one thread. If people want to read it and post in it great, if not, no harm no foul. If he post FBS jargon outside of that, then fine him.

I had heard rumblings of an epic little league youth movement. They're trying to get ndsu fbs. Now i know who pumped that up.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
