Colorado Post Game Thoughts & Discussion

1) This was Arizona all over again. I did not expect a stop at all and when we got one I was legitimately shocked. I know CW was out but wow. Just wow.
2) Jung is just. Ugh. The whole secondary just feels like they do things right by accident.
3) No faith in the defensive coaching staff until they prove we can get back to the fundamentals.
4) Shadeur Sanders is great. Hunter is greater. What an absolute stud.
5) Shiloh Sanders is a bitch.
6) Cam Miller is going to have a great season. Cole Payton will too.
7) Majorly concerned about our running backs. Not just their health and talent but also the formations we’re running out of.
8) we still have no idea how clock management works. None. How has this been an issue for like 4 straight coaching regimes?
9) I feel like I just watched 3 hours of horrible American commercials.
10) a lot of work to do.

Overall, good effort. Offense will have plenty of bright spots if the coaches can figure out how to use them consistently. Defensive backfield needs work. So young, I can't tell if it's a lack of experience or something worse. Entz did leave an empty cupboard back there.

I am interested to hear what happened on the delay of game call in the 3rd. Cole had the 1st plus a lot of room to run. I thought the wireless Hemet was supposed to fix that.

I'll say it...This was Cam's best game as a Bison. He didn't get it done tonight but played with poise and made some great 3rd down throws. I can't remember who said in the prediction thread, but if we score more than 30 points in every game the rest of the year we will be national champs.

The secondary is atrocious and it could very well be that Cole W.'s injured foot was the difference in this one.

Calling timeouts on defense BEFORE the 2 minute warning and having an extra 8 seconds or so could've been the difference between victory and defeat.

All in all, proud of our effort tonight. The secondary needs a lot of improvement but at least they aren't going to see any receivers the rest of the year as good as CU's 2nd best receiver. Defensive line is going to be very good. Cole needs to get on the field a few plays a game, but we can't get too cute with him like we did tonight. A QB run when 1-2 yards is needed, or else let him just sling it like on the wheel route to Raja. If this is the Cam Miller we see for the rest of the season, everyone get aboard the Cam train!
