Unless it’s some form of contract nothing is going to happen. Best thing that could happen is some east coast athletes decide a union is the best way moving forward. That will allow for a contract to be signed for NIL cash.

Worst thing to happen to college athletics. Loyalty gone from the sport.

First I had heard of Weertz leaving also.

So what are the rules for getting paid? Does every college decide how they're going to handle it? I would think all you guys that decided to donate would have wanted to know this before you signed up for the collective.

You seem to be under the delusion that the collective is going to stop EVERY athlete from leaving. If an opposing school want a player bad enough they can wave $$$$ signs. If its big enough they will leave. Just like when you were working. If some company came along and offered you double of what you were making plus benefits you would have been gone also.

I'm hoping this is because the Polasek offense is going back to extremely run heavy.

I think the WR group is deep enough that this won't matter much as it probably feels like it will right now.

Did NDSU offer Osterman first time around? Doesn’t look like it. Looks like he committed to the cyclones and then flipped to goldy as a walk-on

Might be a good fit for NDSU. I see portal offers from Bison, Marist and UST. 4 years left I think

No, you are delusional to think the really good players are going to stick around. And by the way your comparison sucks because playing a college sport isn't a job. If so maybe the kids need health insurance, 401K, pension, bonuses, etc.

Jay has spoken about having to be on the roster after critical dates to get payment for that time period. Otherwise, the payment is not made. As PL said, if another NIL waives huge money, not sure what he is supposed to do.....the NDSU money will mean very little at that point.

In my mind, the Green and Gold collective is making these kids be more thoughtful about leaving. They are going to want a "sure thing" to leave at this point. I very much suspect that is the case, here.
