Same with wrestling. Those gals are now where the wbb players were 50 years ago. It's neat to witness the 'birth' of the sport.
My 2 sisters played bball. The older was on the first high school team in the 70's. Back then they played 3 on 3 half court (Iowa rules they called it). My little sister went on to play college ball for a small school in Nebraska and was part of a high school team that won 101 games in a row in South Dakota. I've watched a hell of a lot of woman's game over the years.

If I remember correctly you could only dribble 2 or 3 times and you had to pass the ball.

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.
