I subscribed to this site called the Portal Report which basically just arranges data that's out there and public. Here's the list of players in the portal that NDSU has reached out to according to their data. Not surprisingly in typical Dave fashion, not many D1 guys but more than in the past
To me, it seems this is the type of list we need to be going after. Guys that are hungry to play DivI hoops that have a couple years under their belt to develop physically. Less likely to get sniped by other schools. Oakland had (9) guys that transferred in from smaller schools and Jucos. A mixture of the high school guys and transfers that have grown into their body more. Hurlbert doesn't excite me. Looks like a slow, big body that doesn't want to get dirty.

Yeah I'm not sure what the best formula is but I'm open to recruiting the lower level guys for a couple reasons:

    1. There are plenty of good players who develop during college or went under the radar for D1 basketball in high school. I'd be very ok with snatching up good regional D2 guys looking to play a year or two of D1 basketball.

    2. NDSU is always going to face an uphill battle for good D1 basketball transfers. Fargo is cold and remote. The Summit League isn't very good. I would think most guys worth taking in have more attractive options.

There's a lot of interest out there but you said offers, there's a big difference. The only offer I've actually seen went to Moni. I've seen no other offers on the table yet.

I guess I'd take a shot at Pearson----had great success at D3 level----can shoot---probably isn't a great athlete but could space the floor---

That is not even photoshopped, it is real life size.

Lakes looks bigger in that picture than I remember him.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.
