    I appreciate you saying that.
I just remembering how much my wife HATED the tunnels at Presentation College and wondering if this is something that is actually being requested by students or misplace well intention?

I think you and I are both wired to bring a counterpoint to any discussion.

I want NDSU to be a 15-20k enrollment that's not on the verge of losing R1 and a strong candidate for the FBS G5. In today's world that means not every waking moment should be a struggle for survival.

Didn't get along with roommate- U could switch roommates or get a single room.
    Class too hard- Tutor services
Major not for you- They would work with you for a "pivot change"

And to hear these answers it was the parents asking the questions- What if JR doesn't like the teacher, class, major or roommate? The parents don't want the kids to be burdened.

Felt very much that NDSU wanted to get the kid through with a good experience send them to the workplace. Which is a problem because the now worker isn't used to pressure, deadlines and dealing with people they don't like. Had an employee after 3 days told me he doesn't like what he is doing..... I'm like you haven't been here long enough to know what you like or don't like. As you might expect. He didn't last.
Maybe you hired the wrong person? Maybe you didn’t properly notice it during the hiring process? Two sides to every story.

Obviously not a main driver. Would make the experience better, but if they want to really move the needle, offer in state tuition rates to out of state kids. It's a tough sell to get a kid to move from over 500 miles away

North Dakota is one of the easiest states to get in state tuition. All you have to do is get a driver's license when you first arrive and stay for a full year, which means that summer after your freshman year. It's very common for the aviation program at UND since they often stay over the summer to fly, and they attract students from all over the country. It's considered one of the top 2 or 3 programs in the country.

Waits were much longer than an hour when both of my parents went to the ER in November of 2023. The first night, I entertained myself in the waiting room giving nicknames to the other people waiting like "head wound guy" who dropped something and one shard flew up into his forehead or "football player" who came in wearing his uniform and an arm in a sling who was still watching his team play in the state championship game on TV when they called him into an exam room.

As far as students going to Nursing school from warmer climates, treating daily life like a military camp is an awful recruiting pitch. They get a valuable skilled nurse while we can pound our chests and brag about our toughness while bitching about substandard medical care.

That hour wait in the ER may change your mind.
    Hard pass
