According to McFeeley on Hot Mic, the timeout may have been payback to last season where UND called a timeout with a few seconds left in the game so their seniors could go back into the game and be on the court when they finally beat NDSU.

Yep, and the bit right before this was our coach walking up with his hand out for the handshake which the UND coach ignored because she was shaking her finger and berating him.

Oh it was totally just Jory being a dick and giving the fans and players a chance to rub it in as we already had the ball in the front court and just needed to let the clock run out. But they did it last year and so Jory said fuck you and didn't it back, I love it. It's what rivalries are all about. You don't want a team to do that to you then don't lose, this isn't 5th grade basketball, nobody needs to be nice to you. And for the record, I feel the same both ways, Dave got pissed off when somebody dunked on us in the last few seconds of a game earlier this year and I said he was being a bitch as well. Take the loss and move on.

Respect for Jory for how he handled this. She was unprofessional and out of line. But he just kept his cool and didn’t take the bait.

I wonder what the Bison coaching staff said among themselves after that!
