I saw some beautiful execution by the OL against Montana, but, yeah, I was one of those hoping for this hire.

Not defending Larson as OL coach with this post, just saying that it's not uncommon for coaches to serve at many different positions over their careers. I'll cite a few examples of some well known coaches as well as some with Bison ties.

Urban Meyer has been a position coach as DB/LB/WR/QB

    Tommy Bowden. DB/RB/TE/QB/WR

Kirby Smart has been a position coach on opposite sides as well. DB and RB

Ex Bison HC Don Morton coached both RBs and OL.

Current coach TP has coached the following positions. WR/TE/RB/ST/DB/QB and OL at Big Ten Iowa. No experience before as OL position coach.

Just a few examples to show that it is not unheard of for all those who call for a "real OL coach"

And Larson has also been an OC at the D2 and D3 level and a head coach at the D3 level so it's not like he's woefully underqualified.

It sounds like the Bison will have at least 1 offensive lineman drafted again this year. He was OL coach for Cody Mauch.

    Interesting take…Cody developed under Riley/Blazek.
This is not 'Nam. This is Bisonville. There are rules here.

Apparently no one wants him as a HC, so I guess we can all bitch about his 15 QB runs per game next year with Cam.
