Public comments about what? He’s 99.99% a raw raw guy when it comes to recruiting and incoming kids when they sign their NIL to join the football team. Other than maybe one post by Bison football on the X, he hasn’t said anything. That is very unlike him to be this quiet.

Check that, he did put 2-3 posts about his OC production with this years offense.

It hasn't been a week yet, give the guy some time to figure things out.

I get it but to me it’s a bit telling that he wants out. I don’t blame him and I know it’s tough. Do I really want him out? No. It is just odd that he hasn’t congratulated or engaged with the recruits like he normally does which is why I made this thread. If he does leave who are viable options to take his place.

It would be an unpopular choice by the vocal minority that dominate this board, who have unrealistic expectations of familiar bigger name coaches. The common sense approach isn't always "popular".

Yeah acting like a petulant child and quitting would show a lot of maturity and help him with a job search.
Im sure it taught him he needs some FBS experience to make himself more marketable just like Polacek did. Or he hangs in there and after Polacek leaves he will be in a position and have the experience to be the HC.

If our QB room remains status quo, it makes a ton of sense to to try and find a way to retain both Hedberg and Roehl for 2024. I

Heckendorf would take a 50% pay cut coming here as OC. Don’t think that’s happening.

It'll probably depend on what other opportunities he has. Maybe he comes back and that gives him more time/another year to find another opportunity.
