They lost to Duke!, Neb and Iowa lol, and barely squeaked out wins against the Goophers in OT, Howard! for Homecoming and a terrible Illinois team to finish the season. Then they barely won a meaningless and absolutely boring Bowl game against a poor Utah who had lost 18 players (mostly starters) to the NFL Draft and Portal including their starting QB and had another handful of starters out with season ending injuries. Let's see how he does this year with Washington, Ohio St and Mich all on the schedule.
They play a similar Big 10 schedule every year and managed to regularly win 1 game, pre David Braun. 8 wins is more than 1

Matt Entz won 8 regular season games and we didnt play any FBS teams, much less Penn State, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin or Iowa. UND beat us worse than Penn State beat Northwestern and we were still a final 4 team

Are you trolling? Or maybe your pride is hurt because you continue to argue and think Braun is a bad coach. You thought he was our DC last year but now you're a NW expert. You will convince no one

It's a principal university in the northwest. That's why it was called that. It's the *8 ranked university academically in the country. Very Ivy League-like. Their music program is second to none.

You do have some valid points. Just saying he deserves at least a little atta boy.
He did a hell of a job turning it around in the middle of the shit show. His fellow coaches recognized that fact. Big Ten coach of the Year. I think thats a lot more credible

    Fake news!:

He attended Sayre Elementary School and Steinmetz High School, then served from 1944 to 1946 as a U.S. Army writer for a military newspaper. Hefner graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1949 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a double minor in creative writing and art, having earned his degree in two and a half years. After graduation, he took a semester of graduate courses in sociology at Northwestern University, but dropped out soon after.[16]

    This is true however:
