So how much job security does Matt Larson have? Sounds like a few internal things going on along with the on field issues.

Coach Polasek overlapped Coach Landry for a year while at Northern Illinois during Landry’s 3 seasons. Coach Landry returned to Northern Illinois later in 2018, so Coach Polasek could also use his NIU connections as references if he wanted to.

Will Johnson at Oklahoma overlapped with Jamar Cain, who would also be a Polasek FBS connection.

Coach Klieman is also a Polasek FBS connection, even though he is for Coach Roehl as well.

So you can say Coach Roehl has the same connections in at least 2 of the 3 hires, but Coach Polasek did have FBS connections for all 3 hires

I have more concerns about the defensive side of the football, there we kind of went with the same crew that wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. Maybe Petrino was the issue, I guess we'll find out.

Landry has a good track record and worked under a great coach in Caruso at UST and is now working with an offesnive minded coach. He has plenty of experience, not sure I see the issue here.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

Matt Larson is mediocre, but he made the right hire with Polasek. Both can be true

What internal things does he have going on? Very frustrated with program, excited for Coach P, but everything else is dumpster fire if you look at where we have been.
