I don’t get why teams think they have to get cute to score on a 2 pt play. You see it with every team. Go with what is working. For us it was power. Would’ve even loved to see play action out of it to give the run option of the receivers are covered up. This loss stinks.

Yes hire a new coach and bring in new coaches who can coach and recruit. Penalties and tackling have consistently been getting worse. Recruiting and retaining our talent has also been going downhill.

Have you seen the clip of the two officials after that play. There is a mic-ed up of two of the officials standing there after the pick and one of em says to the other. "I can't believe they threw it there...with Marshawn back there?" And the other official is just shaking his head..

Sure it did. Ndsu shot itself in the foot a dozen times with drops, penalties and bad calls, but there were clear penalties not called on Montana in big spots that absolutely altered the complexion of the game.

They absolutely played a part. A good team still overcomes poor reffing and NDSU did NOT do that, but it did play a part whether you want to admit it or not.

Refs missed big calls
Bison missed huge plays
Highly questionable play call to end game but otherwise very good offensive play calling where different players took turns making critical mistakes. Bison as a team let this one slip away.

In the end better season than I expected.
