From what I understand, HC positions can be exempt from many of the ND state employee HR hiring policies at the discretion of the school president and AD.

University employees are different than state employees. Im sure they will follow university/Ndsu policy.
I remember being all excited that state employees were getting raises. It was quickly pointed out to me that I was a university employee.
( the forest service is a university dept with agency duties. Go figure)

I am a hire from within guy and I think they have both earned a promotion. They both know the Bison culture and system inside out. Both are hard working, excellent coaches, both command respect and are strong motivators and men of character and loyalty. Both are prototypical Bison, and won’t be outworked. Both are no nonsense and mentally and physically tough as nails. I could go on, but also note the comments of others here.

2008-2014 Simpson OC. 2015-2019 Minnesota State OC. In five seasons
at Mankato, he produced three of the top five offenses in MSU history. Was named Division II
Coordinator of the year in 2019 after leading the division in scoring with 47.5 points
per game. Move Dan Larson back to RB and hire a true OL coach. Makes sense.

up in the fourth. Grimsley gets the int on about the 45.
We go A gap, long pass, jet sweep, miss a 50 yd FG and
