Feeling like this is going to drag into next week now if not announced today.

Really hope that ML comment about waiting to Jan 5 does not indicate how he feels about the timeline.
Or does he have a game this week and installs were done Monday Tuesday?

Not buying that conspiracy at the moment, because it would be pure stupidity if it went down that way.

Gives me a chance to renew my gripe about how having the early signing period in mid-December, just 6 weeks before the late signing period, is dumb... either make the early signing period actually early (like August) or get rid of it. Would make coaching transitions, which always happen in early-to-mid December, a lot less hectic.
With the transfer portal, could a high school kid commit to one school and then transfer to another without ever setting foot on campus of the first school they committed to? I'm assuming there is nothing in place that would prohibit that?

This thread is just as much of a wild ride as a game day thread.

Once a recruit signs their NLI (letter of intent) I think they can only be "released" at the discretion of the school they signed with. At some point, probably once they enroll at that school, is when they can transfer. So I think a player could transfer without ever having set foot on campus if he wanted to. Although I think most schools will release recruits from an NLI if they request it since they know that guy is likely just going to transfer anyway once he's able to if they don't.

Over/Under on number of duplicate threads started once an announcement is made?

I'm gonna set it at 4.5.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.
