The dropped passes were huge. You got one fucking job and its to catch the football.

The dropped balls were ridiculous, Cam not getting out of the pocket faster and taking the run, and all the stupid penalties killed us. The last play was almost comical in how stupid it was. However, all in all, this team showed Bison Pride, hung in there until the end, and didn't give up. At the end of the day, the not giving up is the biggest thing to take into the offseason. GO BISONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

Yes a couple huge dropped passes in key moments but ultimately cam lost this one. On the first drive that is an easy td with a fairly routine throw. He also missed several wide open receivers for touchdowns. Mix in all the penalties and that is hard to overcome. Discipline has been one of the biggest problems with entz and it is only fitting for his last game too. I’m sure all the hc talk this week didn’t help the focus. I thought the defense played fairly well.

Time for a very unpopular opinion - the two point play call wasn't that bad. Everyone and their grandma is expecting #9 to keep it in that scenario. It's reasonable to give a dynamic athlete like Raja an RPO to either run it in (knowing the defense is keying on Payton) or throw it to Stoffel.

That said the execution and design left a lot to be desired. Stoffel looked like he didn't even realize he was the only option until far too late - had he worked to release sooner they would've had a chance for him to rise over the defender to make the catch or a much better chance at a flag because he was engaging the DB just as much as the DB was engaging him until the very end.

That doesn't change the fact that this was a downright awful game for the offense. Too many mental mistakes with false starts and unforced dropped passes. Cam missed some big opportunities on long balls and they made no adjustments to Montana's jailbreak blitzes they kept running on 3rd down. How about a screen pass or a slant route (corners were giving big cushions since the blitz was coming) or some type of quick pass to give Cam an outlet???

No good options now for whoever they name as coach tomorrow/Monday - if it's Roehl he's starting from behind the 8-ball after the stinker his offense laid today. If it's an external hire the team will be gutted by the transfer portal.

How do we know players will bolt if Roehl isn't hired? Even if they did, wouldn't that be a good thing since many posters think Entz can't recruit and our current roster is too slow and we could get better players in the portal? (Only half purple since there is no pleasing some fans unless we win 50 championships in a row.)
It's OK to not be OK.

May soon find out. Kinda stinks to do it behind the 8 ball though.
I hope our guys stay, they fought hard this year. Total rebuilds are often not fun.

Did something happen on the last play or was it designed to have only one option for the pass?

He couldnt release he was being held along his belt line then thrown to the ground.

If we won the game I would still choose Polasek

I was assuming it was an RPO for Raja since Stoffel was the only eligible receiver he had on that side and there were 3 blockers but he sure didn't look like he had much interest in running it.

Really odd play design to only have one receiver in the pattern. Kinda the definition of getting too cute if that was the case.

He was engaging the DB as well - if Nelson didn't have any run option Stoffel got way too handsy with the DB. Had he not engaged like he was run blocking it would've been much easier for an official to throw the flag.
