We had this discussion. You don't hire someone for a more important job because you don't want them to suck at a different job.

I voted for Cain. TR would be an easy transition and would keep continuity and I don’t have to explain his personality. I don’t care how he was as an OC. I feel he’d probably be a pretty good HC. If it ended up being Polasek then so be it. I want to keep recruits and existing players. Don’t give me that “but he’s a meat head, what a shitty play call” just get over it. It’s either TR or Polasek. At this point I don’t much care and just want it over with.

I'll be in the minority, I'm still in the Roehl camp. Tough to say that after that final play call though.

Everybody can blame Roehl all they want and yeah the last play was awful but we had plenty of chances in that game the players just didn't execute. Roehl wasn't over throwing wide open receivers, he wasn't dropping passes or false starting 6 times. I still think he's our best option as HC just my opinion.
