Depends who he hires as OC. It's not unheard of for a HC to be calling plays, offense or defense. Not sure if Klieman definitely called plays, I know he was definitely very involved with the defense though.

Fuchs at KU is likely to get a big raise when Leipold gets poached by a bigger program.

I'd imagine getting the NIL rolling is going to be a draw for HC candidates. I'm not really excited about Vigen coming back. Wish we had someone on the defensive side of the ball who could step in.

Yeah the drop off from entz and klieman to Braun and entz was pretty significant. I wouldn’t think a first time hc would want the added pressure of calling plays but who knows.

That said, ndsubison1 nailed it—>Roehl will not stay if Vigen is hired, not for the long-run anyway, and there would likely be disruption/disagreement from within staff if Vigen is the hire, which would obviously be a negative.
