2020 season we should've beat Kansas, we were up on them late and then Dave went into stall mode instead of continuing to attack and we pissed it down our leg and lost by 4. Also stuck with Creighton and TCU that season, so to say we haven't come close isn't exactly true but close doesn't count and it's incredibly frustrating that we haven't gotten it done once in the Richman era. I'm just not as disappointed in losing to Creighton as I would've been if we lost to a team like California who's terrible like St Thomas did where it should be a win.

I’m not disappointed in losing. Getting beat by 30 is the part that keeps repeating itself. Yes we gave Kansas a run once. I guess my point is we are so far away from what we used to be and we should be better with the current facilities we have. But under Dave we are mediocre at best.

Also Dave has had way more games against P5 schools than Miles and Saul combined. And hasn’t got a single victory.

No shame is losing to the 8th ranked team in the country who almost went to the Final 4 last year, and is a favorite to go to the Final 4 this year. Believe it or not, but playing them probably helped us in ways maybe only the coaching staff can see. Just got to get better every game.

Watching the sideline you can see the connection McDermott has with his players. Miles and Saul had a connection with the players too. Never see this with Richman and his players.

I honestly don't think Richman plays these high major games to win. They are prep / scrimage games for the Summit tournament. Personally I think we should quit scheduling high major games if we continue this philosophy. Play to win. Summit needs to contact the Missouri Valley and make an agreement for games. Similar to Big Sky Summit deal. Let's get some solid mid majors at the SHAC.
