Nice to see the girls knock some of the offensive cobwebs out last night. Started a little slow, seemed to carry over from the opener but then we started to see some shots fall and the potential of this offense. Leah McKenzie got herself going which I think is huge, she'd been struggling to get her shot to fall a bit and finally got to see the ball go through the hoop. After missing a year with injury some rust is expected, she's only going to get better as the year goes along. Grace Massaquoi continues to look really solid on both ends of the floor.

The only concern last night was at the 5, Marwa had a chance to really settle in but got in foul trouble early and ended up only playing 11 minutes and got 4 fouls and even more concerning was Yomane picking up 4 fouls in only 7 minutes. We need those two to play smarter to stay on the court. The nice part is with the depth of this team, Draper played some at the 5 with Koenen and AK getting extra minutes at the 4 and Miriley Simon had a really solid game playing extended minutes as well so we have options but the team is better with Marwa or KEY in at the 5.
