North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
From McFeely's article, a quote from Kubas:
"Maybe in years past when he had loads of talent on the roster we could cover up a bad day in one of the three phases, but we have to be great in all three to win games," Kubas said.
Pretty strong indictment on the quality of the current roster, from a current player
Maybe it's there and I'm missing it, but we've lacked leadership on the field the last couple years. At some point, players need to get fed up with poor play, tackling, stupid penalties, etc. We looked completely unprepared, emotionless and surprised today.
Apparently the beat down USD put on us wasn't the wakeup call we thought it would be.

I was glad to hear Entz realizes they need to start playing younger guys. Gives me hope that he realizes just how dire the situation is. He needs to get a good feel for just what he has available.
They have to remember we were gutted by the portal last year, and they probably need to portal some guys in. Got to figure out what you need. Is it a risk to the culture? Yep, but dumpster fires need to be put out.
