    Particularly this portion:

-- Attendance requirements to achieve or maintain FBS membership have been eliminated, effective immediately.

-- Related to that, the application fee to transition from FCS to FBS has increased from $5,000 to $5 million, also effective immediately.

-- All FBS programs are required to provide at least 90 percent of available scholarships across 16 sports, including football. Additionally, FBS teams must fund 210 scholarships per year, totaling no less than $6 million. (That's effective 2027.)

It means there will probably be multiple new and bestest FBS threads started in the next few years where Bisonville rehashes the same arguments and delusion over and over and over.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

I don't see it as an issue for NDSU if they get an invite. This is to keep the Kennesaw's, Sam Houston's of the world from moving up with no ability to truly fund athletics.

Which two sports would NDSU most likely add to get to 16?

Unless they've changed the rules, Indoor and Outdoor Track are two separate sports so NDSU already has 16 sports.

That said, I think that NDSU would have to add at least one women's sport for Title IX and maybe to get up the 210 scholarship minimum. Equestrian is a possibility - it has a 15-scholarship limit.

That's good to know about track being two separate sports. Bowling would be a cool sport to add.
