Default Missouri Valley Football Conference and ESPN agree on new national televison contract

This deserves it's own thread. 1 or 2 games per year on ESPN. Obviously ESPN will pick the higher profile teams, so odds of the Dakota Marker game being televised annually is very high. It's the obvious choice for TV ratings.

The conference will have regular season national televison exposure for the first time in its history beginning in 2024.

Hey that IS big news! It takes a little bit of sting out of still being in the FCS, at least…

    on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU

It a good thing but unless there is absolutely no other football happening even the Dakota Marker between two top 5 teams would be lucky to get on the deuce. I'd love to be wrong but I suspect 90% of these will be on ESPNU.

Oh and how about the meltdown from this board the first time we find out NDSU turned down being on ESPNU because we didn't want to change game times/days. ML would be burned at the stake.

I'd bet the Marker game gets aired every year.

    We better win that game!

There’ll be a meltdown either way. Either settle for ESPNU @230 or play @8 if you want to be on ESPN just like the Montanas

Personally would love a night game.
