Now I might have to go find my “Swinging Gate Conundrum”
post from the last several years. Then I don’t have to write a new one.
And, unfortunately, it still applies……

During this season I have referred to NDSU’s Swinging Gate Conundrum.

What is that again? Well, when Coach Entz was asked why he uses the Swinging Gate on extra points at the beginning of the season, he mentioned something to the effect of wanting teams to see that on film and need to prepare for it. The Conundrum, to this casual fan, is the coaching staff held back on using the full playbook on offense, especially the passing game. That kept those plays “from being put on film”.

My question/concern has always been - Will that full playbook/passing attack be there & work if NDSU does not use/practice it during regular gametime - when a competitive games’ outcome depends on it?
