Max looked good. Got in on the leg twice and converted. Again he’s a strong kid.
Bison fans are blessed. Enjoy it.

    Johnson gets dominated 10-1.

If he can't turn you in a half, he has very little chance to score. At the college level...that's not great

You know way more about wrestling than me. At this point do you think it’s possible for Johnson to get good enough on his feet to be a credible D1 wrestler? It seems like he’s just so far away.

Sax loses 8-4. Improvement form their recent meeting. Didn’t really try anything on offense.

Good learning point for him. Even if he isn't going to score from neutral, he has to hold center better and work the ties better than he did there.

For a guy who wins with dominating mat wrestling, need to win on the margins from neutral and he can't afford to give up a stalling point against a guy like Picklo.

IDK, kind of up to him. Sax wasn't good from neutral when he was a very tall and skinny 149, and he has worked to now be effective enough from neutral to get to his dominating mat wrestling. Sax has always seemed to know what to do when guys get in on his legs, but Johnson doesn't have that yet. The blueprint for Johnson is in the room, but it won't come easy.

Johnson has to get better from bottom too. He's been really bad from bottom this year and guys who aren't good from neutral need to be able to get away quickly to give themselves free points and more chances from neutral. I also don't see him as being as effective on top as Sax was when he was at 149. His half is violent, but need to do better at keeping his hips tight when riding and diversify his turns.

Nice to see Brenot get a couple wins in his home state.

Things not going well for Mooberry and Duda

Pettigrew was a big time recruit who was available in the portal late in the offseason after we had the mass exodus. He was one of the available portal guys that was worth a scholarship
