Donovan Woolen promoted at 247.
After being unrated, despite having quite a few offers, 247
now has Woolen as a 3 star, 86 grade, 160th ranked prospect in Texas.
Congrats!
Other offers included FBS Army, Navy and Air Force. From the Ivy League Harvard, Yale, Pennsylvania, Brown.
NDSU listed Woolen as a LB at 6’ 3” 205 on signing day. He had been listed at 6’ 3” 185 last spring.

Hopefully he can improve his speed during a redshirt season and stay at DB. He is a truly gifted ball tracker, even on very deep balls. This talent is grossly underrated and even stud NFL guys struggle with it at times, both DB's and WR's. Just this last Sunday the great Tyreek Hill lost his track on a deep ball and it cost him a probable long TD catch and run.
This kid could end up being one of the best CB's in Bison history, but he looks like a 4.7 guy right now to me. These guys think he is fast.

Donovan Woolen is a 6’3 195 pound athlete entering his Senior season for the Wolverines. He is a key piece for the team playing both receiver and defensive back. A prospect with great size and speed, he can almost do it all when he is on the field. A kid that flies all over the field disrupting anything in his path on the defense. He currently holds offers from Navy, Army, Air Force, and others.

And there is this: He bolsters his athletic profile with solid jumps data, including a 20-1.5 long jump and a 43-11.75 triple jump. Quite a signing for North Dakota State, which has obviously developed talent at a pretty torrid rate in recent years. -- Brooks
