or the coaches want absolutely no QB controversy so they control the narrative to protect their pet project

To pass Cam, Cole would actually need to be allowed to throw the ball. Last season was a major 2-QB disappointment. It just wasn’t effective when there was 0 threat of Cole throwing it. Something needs to change. Training wheels need to be fully removed and plays need to be the same for both QBs.

What’s strange to me is… Trey got garbage time snaps in 2018 during Easton’s Senior year. He barely threw the ball. Then he won the starting spot and turned in arguably the greatest single season of football any Bison player ever had.

There’s a chance Cole is the guy… are we really going to sit him until his Senior year and give him 1 year to put it together?

Bothers me… not sure what to think…

Maybe the coaches know what they have in Cole and realize that at any point if Cam isn't progressing Cole can slowly become QB1 and until then there is no reason to disrupt the team chemistry. Let Cam go prove he's the guy and if he can't we have Cole ready to go. Maybe.

I've been a Cam supporter since he was thrown into the fire to start when he probably wasn't ready. I'd like to jump up on my soap box and throw all my support behind Cam, but then I remember that Incarnate Word game and I sit back down.

Regardless of who's running the offense, they need to be put in a position to succeed. Running Calves out there on 3rd down and short, or any down for that matter, is a guaranteed run and that's on the coaching staff to get better. Also, get Cam in better down and distance situations and help the guy out.

Is it just me, or is this the quietest fall practice season in a long time?

Just May Be Cam is the better QB in practice? Shows a better command of the offense etc etc etc?

Unless the second team QB is heads taller then there is no reason to start him.

so coaches don't want a controversy. got it.

Cam's ceiling had been reached and I have no issues with him starting .

We have no ideas Cole's ceiling. that's my only gripe.
