    Default Dacotah Field Memories

I remember the fans on the Bison sideline cheering for the defense or offensive line when they had a good series at Dacotah Field. What are your memories?

Sneaking in booze during cold playoff games.

The wonderful sweet smell of the beer soaked wooden bleachers and the ominous sound of them when kicked by bison fans

The warm air rising from the urinal troughs on a cold day. The occasional crashing of bottles hitting the ground below the bleachers.

The sound of a bottle breaking the press box window and Eddie Schulz going ape shit.

Yeah, it sounded like a stampede and felt like an earthquake. The bleachers were also used for the kickoff - the increasing tempo of BOOM ...... BOOM ..... BOOM ... BOOM .. BOOM BOOM (instead of the hands up thing we do now.)

The Happy Hooligangs going vertical or doing flyovers in their F-4s ( F-16s at the end) was very cool too.

On a lot of days, passing offenses were helpless for half the game because of the wind so it could be a huge home field advantage.

Just to be clear, while I appreciate some aspects of the past, I don't necessarily want to go back outside.

Getting to go on the field after the games was pretty cool as a kid. Playing ball behind the scoreboard as a kid was always fun as well.

Just to be clear on my end, I just like starting hashtags, I don’t necessarily support them either…
