This is such a joke. They may be the worst team to ever be in the BSA/Scheels Arena. We have 14 guys on the roster. The top 8 rotation guys shouldn't play in this game. Our guys would get WAY more out of a full intrasquad scrimmage than playing against this team. Or have some type of alumni game vs our current roster.
Wow, no kidding... they have one player on their roster over 6'4" and he's 6'6". They play their conference tournament in Ellendale (yes really).

Please tell me there's some good cause this game was scheduled for??? If not it's an embarrassment it was even scheduled.

That is awesome!! Apparently marketing in our AD's office isn't completely dead.

Wow, just wow! Matt Larson, please explain? Optically, this is just lazy!

It's definitely not going to be good but it's kinda tough to see this coming. This team has finished with 10-12 wins each of the last few years and most of their games have been competitive, last year they only lost to Waldorff who we played by 8 so when this game was scheduled it was just another one of those non-D1 games but then I don't now what happened in their program this year but they just lost by 57 to Waldorff so it looks real bad right now. This is a game you play your starters all of 5-10 minutes to start just to keep the gameday feel and routine and then play Dissette, Streit, Hastreiter, Sletten and Nikolich-Wilson as much as possible, get Waddles plenty of time at the 1 and only use a few guys like Feddersen, Burke and maybe Jacari to give them some breaks when needed.

Look at literally every college basketball team in the country. Schools need games, and often are filled with crappy opponents. Every team in the Summit has non DI’s on the schedule. Hell, even Duke plays turds like Hofstra, Charolette, and Queens!

Hofstra is like playing Kansas compared to whatever Oak Hills community bible college is.

Well, welcome to playing DI basketball in North Dakota. The closest DI teams are conference teams. Tough to get teams to come up here.

This isn’t DII, people travel for athletics. They just expect to get paid for it. We don’t do that.

Your homer-ism for the NDSU athletic department knows no bounds 03. It's gotten beyond comical at this point. The schools you listed are all Division 1 competition, your comparison has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion.

NDSU on the other hand scheduled THREE non-D1 games this season. 3... That is beyond unacceptable and is a slap in the face to any Bison fan that DR/Larson haven't already driven away. This school in particular that is coming in this weekend has been getting blown out by 80+ points to our normal Non-D1 schools that have been on our schedule. Scheduling this game is a disgrace. Dave Richman & Matt Larson should pay for everyone's ticket that actually gets duped into showing up to that exhibition.

Dave needs to be better and get more creative, same with Larson. This game is a complete farce, at least play a real non-DI team.
