Which is ultimately my point. The experience, competition, facilities, etc. are all non-P5 level. Why are we charging it? The demand to pay these prices just isn’t there. I’ve heard lots of season ticket holders who are in your position, and I’ve heard from folks in the athletic department who are concerned with the level of season ticket requests this year.

Not alternating hosting SDSU and UND by season is lame. The home schedule kinda blows without either of them on the docket. Would be nice to host a rivalry game every season.

Agree prices are a little steep, especially for prime seats. Would think the AD would understand supply and demand and lower the prices a bit to fill seats if needed. Inflation hasn't helped matters either, many people have less disposable income.

They should be concerned, they should have been concerned years before now and thus we find ourselves in this place right now.

If the folks in the department are concerned, then they'll need to tinker with their model in the future. I don't have the answers on what they ought to do.

They could start with the stadium, it is a prehistoric relic with nice video boards. If they don't want to or can't fix the experience then they need to lower prices.

This is a great point. How can we make this happen?

No doubt. From an economics standpoint it’s somewhat simple. Reduce prices and demand will catch up.

It gets pretty complicated when you start factoring in the effects of pricing out legacy and new fans, the effects of a half-full dome on atmosphere, and what happens when fans don’t NEED season tickets to attend every game.

The league screwed it up. I think they’re fixing it though? Thought I heard that somewhere.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

NDSU can't directly fix this, unless we build a new stadium without the city. Whatever happened with those Fargodome meetings in April? Did they decide to do anything, or just kicked the can down the road?
