I’m sure this has been done before, but Dizzo posted an article this morning claiming 2019 now takes the cake as the GOAT Bison squad because of the amount of Pro talent…

I like the depth and athleticism of the 2019 team more than the 2013 team.

Still 2013 team. Those guys were DAWGS!! They had a Mean Streak on Defense and could flat out fly to the Ball and Take away the Ball.

Plus FCS still had a bunch of blue bloods in it. 7-8 teams went FBS between 2013 and 2019?

I think 2013 and 2018 are the obvious other contenders out of the recent run. I think the 2013 squad had more impressive wins and the 2018 team had the GOAT… not sure who wins head to head…

Would love to hear some of our “more seasoned” posters wax poetic about how the 60s and 80s teams would have done against the 10s teams…

2018 takes the cake IMO. I know not all these guys were physically ready that year but you could fill the entire offense with NFL caliber players:

QB: Stick (and true frosh Trey Lance)
RB: Anderson
FB: Luepke (true frosh)
TE: Ellefson, Babicz, Gindorff
WR: Shepherd, Watson
OL: Radunz, Z Johnson, T Volson, C Volson, Jensen, Mauch

Ranking it based on NfL tAlEnT is the most media thing in the world. College football is not the NFL.

Overall talent throughout the team I could see 2018 or 2019. But not all of that talent played at the same time.

Most dominating team was easily 2013. They played a better schedule and still dominated just about everyone. UNI was 1 point and K State was 3. Other than that we are talking 20+ point wins every time. Plus in 2019, if you could stop Trey Lance from running the ball, you could beat that team. They were so one dimensional that it was almost embarrassing to the rest of the FCS that we won the championship that year.
