    You are probably correct, but most programs listen to the fanbase.
    When tens of thousands of fans show up for these games, that says they have value.

    Some P5 coaches are talking about making spring games a full fledged scrimmage against another school. It would be almost a regular game, but with protection for QBs, etc.

    When did Iowa state fans start tailgating? As of 2014 they didn’t.

    How many are going to tailgate for a Thursday spring game? The Kiwanis Pancake Karnival is on Saturday so they probably have the dome reserved on Friday for setup.
