If Larry Bird were a college Junior today he would be Caitlin Clark. Up to and including the fact that she has no trouble beating you and letting you know about it. I think she’ll be fine after having a ring finger waived in her face.
He's like 9 inches taller bro eh. He'd totally dominate those lsu women eh. I don't think he'd have to transition though eh he could probably still hang with teh boys.

No argument about the outcome of the game but the officiating sure seemed one sided to me.

I don’t know if it was one sided or not. I do know that it made the game worse as a viewing experience.

I don’t know if it was one-sided but it sure was awful. And I’m generally the last person to complain about officiating.

Hockey...oof. pretty reluctant to put the resources into that to be successful.

Wrestling, I'm curious what more money will accomplish there. Maybe some of the more knowledgeable people have some idea. Wrestled K-12. Its not a great spectator sport to the vast majority of people.

I'd like to see us pump extra funds into basketball. Like you said, football seems pretty tapped out right now. Having good football and respectable basketball would be clutch
Regarding wrestling, from an economics standpoint it wouldn’t make sense to invest in it. You’re correct, the fan interest just wouldn’t be there. From a competitive standpoint, investing more money could consistently get NDSU into the fringe top ten in the country. An NIL collective, specifically, could really make us more competitive, understanding that’s outside the influence of NDSU.

Are there any women's championships that operate in the black?
It's OK to not be OK.

I would love to see NDSU compete well there. I'm curious how much NIL would be needed to make a substantial difference there. I can't imagine there is a ton of that going on for wrestling outside a few top schools?

Don’t know. Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball for sure are well attended and TV viewership is growing. Perhaps when the media contracts roll after this year. They’re going to carve more events out of the championship package. The current deal is for 34 million a year with ESPN for everything except MBB and of course FBS. Right now some estimates value the WBB tournament at 3x that number all by itself.

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m getting at. Outside of Iowa, Penn St., and maybe a couple more schools NIL dollars aren’t huge. I think a little bit could go a long way.
