The curse continues as Tennessee is upset by Florida Atlantic... bet the ranch on K-State beating FAU on Saturday. Then double or nothing on K-State to lose whoever they play in the Final Four.

This is the earliest in the tournament that all the #1 seeds have been eliminated.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

NCAA basketball has parity. Unlike NCAA football.
It's almost like the money making sport has something to do with there being no parity.....

Florida Atlantic, Creighton, or San Diego State is going to be playing for the national championship next Monday night.

    There's a few factors here I think:
    - the money is a bit more evenly distributed in basketball
    - the costs to field a good basketball team are much lower (outside building a nice arena)
    - theres literally tons of very good players, and you only need to assemble a handful to be successful.
    - you only need 5 guys to figure out how to play and work well together
    - a lot less complexity than football

A school like FAU or SDSU still spends significant money, but the little guys certainly have far better odds in this sport.

This run will be great for the schools, but it will also cost them millions if they hope to retain their coach and players. The vultures are already descending, and the players are already being recruited during the tournament and lured with NIL money, which is shameful.

Yep, in basketball a player or two can really make a difference for a program that is otherwise outmatched in every way, shape, and form by the big boys. Football is much tougher since you need a lot more than a couple elite players to compete with the teams full of them.

They mentioned during the K-State/FAU game that not one player on K-State's roster started their college career at K-State. It's the new normal.

    such tolerance...

Creighton/Coach Mc screwed up. why the HELL did they use that "foul to give" w 6 seconds left at top of the key for no reason... they could've fouled that guy driving at the end w 2 seconds left and force an out of bounds play

FAU plays in a similar gym (2900) to his high school gym (2800), a smaller high school in Indiana. They are a 2A school which is second smallest of 4 basketball classes.
