I think that the poster was only making an observation. Didn't we have a mini-meltdown over a tie once?

We shall see. Considering I thought we’d be promoting a position coach form within due to budget constraints, I was pleasantly surprised, I guess. Donors appear to have stepped up big time during these cuts

SIU has been up and down on D. He’s obviously ME’s buddy, so big test here

How does SIU’s talent and depth on D typically compare to NDSU? At USD last year, we gave up 17 and SIU gave up 24. Hosting the fighting hawks, SIU allowed 17 and we allowed 21

A lateral move? Hard to know, but a lot of our issues seemed to be related to execution (tackling etc). Guess we’ll find out

Well his defense only gave up 64 points to UIW to include 451 yards passing and 6 TD throws ... yay...

Right. That’s a lot of points. First game of the season and a lot of people were surprised by the word this year. I didn’t think we’d give up 30 to them in the dome, fwiw

We’ll find out, obviously. It looks like more than a few people out there in Bison Nation are not super impressed, and lakes seems to like it, so …

Also, curious to know what areas he has recruiting ties in.
    Did he recruit Jeremy Chinn?

SIU Defense this past year was not good. Not sure about any other years.

I say let's give the man a chance; may be a great hire, may turn out to be a dude. We'll see. I'm just hoping he can reinstall the "want to" back into the defense, the "I want to hit somebody really hard" attitude.

The Bisonville vote is in: You can have the job, Jason. Congrats!

Now, please send in Tyler, we’ll take it from here. Thanks.

What's their connection? I know they both were at Winona State, but not at the same time. Is it Bob Nielson?

Just told a buddy of mine thats a big Yotes supporter that we hired their old DC.

    His response:

"Thats great news....for the Missouri Valley"
This is not 'Nam. This is Bisonville. There are rules here.
