Obviously Dave but he was in his backyard and totally under recruited. Should have absolutely been a P5 target from the beginning. We were damn lucky to have him for 3 years.
What was Dave able to accomplish with that kind of talent? Not sure that's the ringing endorsement for his coaching skills that you seem to think.
Nelson was on traveling teams in the summers. Why do you not mention that Coach Richman & Co were some of the few to see Grant’s potential. SDSU & UND did, but where was Alabama then!

sophomore season - with a better team? Not the rebuilding team of last season.

Why do you not mention the Bison were playing their best basketball of the season going into the tournament. And there they upset the Jackrabbits in the semifinals. Why do you not mention those things?
