    Default Grant Nelson NBA Draft??

    KJ @Kjpistons

Grant Nelson is one of the most interesting prospects in the 2023 NBA Draft. He’s 6’11 but handles and moves like a guard and he’s a really good athlete as well. He’s currently averaging 16/8/2 and 2 blocks a game. He’s also shooting well shooting 51% from the field.

I think he's got skills that would translate to the NBA but I don't think he's going to be anywhere near ready to make that jump by this coming draft. He needs to improve his strength and/or his 3-point shot or he'll be an offensive liability in the NBA.

I just hope he's still at NDSU by next fall and not somewhere like Kansas.

Saw that yesterday as well. I don't think he goes in the draft in 2023, that was the surprising part, they should've listed him as a 2024 prospect. It wouldn't surprise me if he goes through the draft process to get feedback and such and then returns to school like Abmas did but I doubt he leaves for the draft after this year. Just hoping his return to school is to NDSU and not a P5.

    WOW

I agree he has special talent---I think biggest area needs to improve is his outside shot (3's)

Is NDSU the best place for PLAYER DEVELOPMENT or OFFENSIVE DEVELOPMENT----

I think he could play anywhere ---- I know if I was him I'd explore my options

Go through the NBA Draft process and consider a different place to play

I'd miss watching him play because its the ONLY reason I am watching this years team!!!!!

He is taking notice of this and will look to make a move to a stronger league. If he does wish him well.

Agree, doesn’t have the strength/physical game for the NBA….yet. He can put the ball on the floor in the Summit league, the NBA would be a different story. Just hope he stays home next year!

He is clearly not NBA ready, but he will be after playing another season. What works in the Summit aint the NBA. He could get drafted now but he would be a low pick and then end up in Europe. If he develops next year he's a high 2nd or low 1st. Even Mike Daum went undrafted and is playing in Italy. Grant isnt at his level yet. He will be

I'd be shocked if Nelson doesn't transfer to a P5 next season. Wish him well whatever he decides to do though I'd like to see him finish here.

I wouldnt. He's set up to be the focal point of our team thats young and improving. Big stats get you noticed. At a P5, he's not going to be "the guy."

Kevin Obanor from ORU transfered to Texas Tech and averaged 10 ppg and 5 rpg wasnt getting him 1st round talks so he returned as a super senior. He's putting up 15 and 5 now, his stock is improving. I think his stock would have been higher if he stuck with ORU and be the guy who took them to the Sweet 16 on his back
