If we lose in the playoffs a couple more times, it's a sign we are going FBS. See JMU, App State, Coastal C and Sam Houston. If you can't beat them, run from them

Actually, that's probably the right answer. NDSU is more like Georgia Southern though (or NDSU back in D2.) Once you have some prolonged success, your fanbase expects perfection every year, and there is simply no way to do that.
The only real solution for the malaise and misery of too much success is to move to a level at which you will never experience it again. That way you will always have unachieved goals to aspire to.
